These meetings are taking place to educate family and guardians of current residents of the Developmental Disability Centers (DDCs) as to what options are available to residents who are leaving the centers and will be residing in the community.   The next Bridges to Opportunity meeting will be held Friday, October 10, at 10:00 a.m. The topic is diet and nutrition. The presentation will address 65G-2 requirements and will include learning about various types of diets, understanding dietary terms, how to create meals to meet differing consistency needs, how to develop nutritional menus, and cost control.
  

  The speakers will be Kim Ebel, Licensed Dietician and Debbie Dodge, Food Services Director II. The presentation will be geared towards waiver providers and their staff but as always families and guardians are welcome to attend.
