Medicaid Infrastructure Grant Task Force

The MIG Task Force was established by APD to specifically integrate others who will:

  1. lend their expertise on issues concerning workforce development and employment-related supports for people with disabilities;
  2. advise and consult with MIG staff on grant activities and objectives;
  3. serve as "ambassadors" by providing important connections for MIG staff and stakeholders to key decision makers to move strategic priorities forward; and
  4. represent MIG goals and objectives in other venues to spread the work about how to become involved.

States that have been awarded MIG funds are required to develop a MIG Task Force. Many of these states use these groups for a range of purposes, such as: to obtain critical input from various sources, to receive feedback from different perspectives, to enrich the grant activities with a well versed leadership or decision-making body, and, as is critical to the success of employment efforts, to promote vital inter-agency collaboration.
