The Agency for Persons with Disabilities has completed its Biennial Rule Review for 2011! The process is required by section 120.745, Florida Statutes, and was performed with the assistance of the Governor's Office of Fiscal Accountability and Regulatory Reform (OFARR).
An analysis of each current rule was conducted. APD identified three rules that were duplicative or outdated, in addition to five administrative rules that currently are pending repeal. Once these rules are repealed, APD will only have a single rule that involves revenue collection and less than 20 percent of the agency's rules will be data collection rules.
