Cost Plan Review

Percent of Cost Plans below Peer Average

The peer average is determined by grouping together and calculating the cost plan mean of similarly situated adult consumers. Within each area adult consumers are grouped into three living settings; family home, supported or independent living, and licensed home. The consumers are further grouped into five QSI Estimated Levels of Support. Thus, there are potentially 15 different calculations to determine the cost plan mean of similarly situated adult consumers within each area. The cost plan mean of each of the sub-groups are compared to the actual cost plan of similarly situated consumers to determine the percent below the corresponding cost plan mean (peer average).
