Florida Administrative Code 65g-8 Reactive Strategies
OBJECTIVE:
This is a mandatory course for owners, directors and employees of Agencies

TOBJECTIVE: Florida Statute, Chapter 65G-8 on the use of Reactive Strategies was promulgated in August 2008. The Reactive Strategies include, but are not limited to manual restraints, chemical restraints, mechanical restraints, isolation, seclusion, time-out, and manual guidance in certain situations. The training will review and discuss specific information on terminology and definition of reactive strategies as well as responsibilities of providers. Agencies should register staff, responsible for training, documentation, reporting, and review of the strategies for your agency; also, other staff will also find this course informative.

This is mandatory training for all enrolled waiver services professionals, who provide training and support for individuals in their home and/or in the community.
