Advantage Ride Program Update
The Advantage Ride Program, funded by the Florida Commission for the Transportation Disadvantaged (CTD), has been so successful that certain parameters are being added to ensure it can be sustained through at least June 30, 2020.
Beginning September 1, the following changes will be in effect:
- The co-pay will be increased by $2, where riders will be charged $4 for each scheduled trip. Customers will continue to pay using a debit or credit card.
- Riders will be limited to schedule no more than 10 trips per week. The program will also limit the total number of trips that can be provided each month to maintain services throughout the fiscal year, ending June 30, 2020.
- Trips will no longer be scheduled more than 48 hours in advance. Riders will still be able to schedule trips up to two hours in advance.
For riders who reach their trip limits, the CTD will work with the Agency for Persons with Disabilities and other partners to assist them with identifying alternative transportation options within their communities.
