Capstone Brings Adult Day Training to Students’ Homes

Capstone Adaptive Learning & Therapy Centers, Inc. is ensuring the residents of their five group homes continue their adult day training (ADT) program during the Governor’s COVID-19 pandemic shelter-in-place orders. To accomplish this, each home was transformed into a “mini” ADT.

Staff, teachers, direct care professionals, and nurses were divided among the five group home locations to maintain the health, safety, and welfare of the residents. Students are also continuing their educational programs and skills training from home to keep working toward their goals. They exercise daily and receive mobility and repositioning services.

The students have developed a larger sense of camaraderie and team spirit at each group home ADT. Capstone is proud of the students as they work to make the best of the pandemic situation.
