National Disability Institute Launches COVID-19 Resources Website
The National Disability Institute (NDI) has introduced a new website to help individuals with disabilities and their families find information and tools to manage the money-related challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Using these resources can help lower stress, teach good habits, and improve confidence during this uncertain time.
Last month NDI, with support from the Wells Fargo Foundation, launched the Financial Resilience Center, a free, online information hub for people with disabilities. Information is organized into six categories: employment/unemployment, COVID-19 stimulus, money management, public benefits, housing/food/health care, and scams.
The Financial Resilience Center also offers personalized financial guidance and one-on-one counseling by working with organizations like the Association for Financial Counseling, Planning and Education® (AFCPE®). As a result, NDI can refer individuals to AFCPE experts who are offering one-on-one counseling for people with disabilities to help them navigate these new financial challenges.
