2021 Florida Youth Leadership Forum Now Accepting Applications

The Florida Association of Centers for Independent Living is currently accepting applications for the 2021 Youth Leadership Forum for Students with Disabilities (YLF). The YLF is a four-day leadership-training program for high school students with disabilities. As part of the program, students will represent their communities as delegates in Tallahassee and learn leadership, citizenship, and social skills.

This year’s forum will take place from July 21-25 and will be directed by YLF alumna Sarah Goldman. If you or someone you know are a high school student with disabilities aged 16-19 who wants to develop leadership skills and represent your community with lawmakers in the capital, consider applying for this unique opportunity.

Applicants can be enrolled in a public, private, virtual, GED or homeschool program. To find more information or to download the application forms, visit the Youth Leadership Forum page on the Florida Association of Center’s for Independent Living’s website.

The 2021 YLF is expected to be in person. However, that may change. Please check the YLF page regularly for updates if it must be transitioned to an online forum.
