Easter Fun!

On April 3, several Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) employees volunteered to help at the Governor’s Mansion for an Easter fun-filled day for children of fallen law enforcement officers and foster children.

Kiersten Lee, Kelley Fisch, and Melanie Mowry Etters were tasked with learning how to operate a cotton candy machine, and passing out mini-muffins and Easter-themed decorated cookies. Our table was very popular with the youngsters and some adults. APD’s Legislative Affairs Deputy Director JP Bell dressed up as the Easter Bunny during the event.

Governor Ron DeSantis, First Lady Casey DeSantis, and their three children joined in the fun. The Governor helped his son, Mason, hit some plastic baseballs from a tee.

All the children enjoyed the petting zoo, tasty treats, and fun outdoors.
