Family Care Council Florida to Meet
The Family Care Councils across the state will be gathering for their November Family Care Council Florida meeting. Council representatives will meet in Orlando on November 5 and 6.
In addition to updates from the Agency for Persons with Disabilities, this month’s meeting will include information about the Coalition for Direct Service Providers from The Arc of Florida CEO Alan Abramowitz and Gary Hartfield from Empower Florida, as well as an update from the Agency for Health Care Administration. The meeting will also feature a presentation from The Chocolate Spectrum, an artisan chocolate company that provides training and employment opportunities to 15 individuals with developmental disabilities in Florida.
The Family Care Councils are committed to educating and empowering individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. The meeting will be held at the Embassy Suites Orlando Airport and virtually for those unable to attend in person.
