FDLE Launches Florida Purple Alert Program
Today, FDLE will begin issuing Purple Alerts in Florida. A Purple Alert will be used to assist in the location of missing adults suffering from mental, cognitive, intellectual, or developmental disabilities. When issued, the Purple Alert information will be distributed to individuals who have signed up to receive the alerts. When applicable, the alert will also be displayed on highway message signs. They will also be posted on the FDLE public website.
To sign up to receive Florida Purple Alerts through email or text message, please visit http://www.fdle.state.fl.us/PurpleAlerts/Purple-Alert-Plan.aspx.
