APD Employee Brings Home a Bronze
APD employee Georgia Locastro competed in the 2022 Special Olympics State Summer Games on May 20 and 21. Georgia competed in the singles bocce and brought home a bronze medal.
Georgia said she enjoyed meeting her roommate and they exchanged phone numbers so they could stay in touch. She said she is glad she was able to compete again, even though she had to wake up at 5 a.m. to get on her bus! She said her coaches, Coach Bill and Coach Nick, were very helpful and taught her a lot. Georgia lives in Tallahassee and is an APD state employee. She is also a gold medal winner in bowling, won at a prior State Game.
