Southern Region Take Your Daughters and Sons to Work Day 2022
APDs Southern Region gleefully welcomed the smiles and laughter of several children for the 2022 Take Your Daughters and Sons to Work Day event. The morning began by meeting the children and their parents to learn more about each other. Our VIP’s ages ranged from nine to thirteen. We learned that when they are not in school, some spend their free time playing Xbox or watching YouTube or Netflix. There were a variety of interests shared, varying from science to P.E., and many are in gifted or honors classes. The group had the pleasure of meeting Director Palmer, who gave them great, positive feedback and encouraged them to be great students. The sons and daughters spent their day helping with a variety of tasks such as scanning, copying, filing, stuffing envelopes, and shredding items. To celebrate our momentous occasion, we had a pizza and ice cream social, enjoyed by all! We are looking forward to next year’s event.
