APD Recognized by Florida Public Relations Association

The Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) received two awards at the Florida Public Relations Association’s Capital Chapter Image Awards ceremony on April 19 in Tallahassee. APD Communications Director Melanie Mowry Etters, APR, CPRC, CPM, accepted on behalf of the agency.

The agency received an Award of Distinction for its COVID-19 Vaccine Posters, encouraging APD customers at group homes and our state facilities to choose to be vaccinated. APD was also recognized with a Judges’ Award for the same campaign. A Judge’s Award recognizes an outstanding communications effort while using limited resources.
