Sunland Residents Win Big at Florida Special Olympics State Games

On September 16, Sunland attended the Special Olympics State Games in Orlando for competition in bowling. Sunland was proud to send four bowlers to compete.

Bowlers were assigned lanes with other bowlers who had similar averages. When the results were tallied, Sunland’s David Register won a bronze medal, Sherman Turnipseed won a 4th place ribbon, Freddie Williams won a 4th place ribbon, and Eddie Thompson won a 7th place ribbon.
