Have Tickets, Will Travel

By Hillary Jackson, Southern Regional Operations Manager

The Grants Group Home in Miami took a very exciting trip to Trinidad and Tobago November 6 - 11, 2022. The trip took approximately three months to plan, including the coordination of passports for everyone. It was not an easy task, but it was worth it for all involved.

Residents and staff were quite excited. For some, it was their first time on an airplane. A flight attendant commended the group on how enjoyable everyone was on the flight and treated the group with lots of extra cookies! There was a slight hiccup on arrival to Trinidad, but the customs staff was very helpful and patient.

Once settled at the hotel, everyone was exhilarated! Residents loved the food, took walks in the surrounding community, and enjoyed the friendly staff. The beach was the greatest attraction since it was the first time for many. Grants Group Home had a magnificent trip and enjoyed every moment. They are now anxiously awaiting their next trip – a cruise!
