Tools You Should Use!

Communicating with Others About Getting Vaccinated

The Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) and our state partners want to educate our employees, customers, providers and staff, Waiver Support Coordinators, stakeholders, and the public about the importance of being vaccinated against COVID-19. There is quite a bit of misinformation out there, especially on social media, that creates a lot of confusion. The purpose of this message is to provide you with tools that contain accurate information. We have done research to help educate others on the benefits of vaccinations. Vaccinations not only protect yourself, but also your family, your coworkers, and the community.

We hope you will download the below Vaccine Communications Tools and post them in your office, group homes, adult day training programs, facilities, and any other places where people gather. Please show the videos to people who may be undecided about receiving the inoculation. APD will be adding to our Communications Toolbox regularly, so visit apdcares.org to learn the latest information.

Communication Tools

These tools developed by APD are designed to help educate APD staff, provider employees, customers, and families about the COVID-19 vaccines. Please download these flyers, information sheets, and graphics and share them with your staff, customers, WSCs, and other contacts. The flyers have been translated to Spanish and Creole. Watch and share the video with them as well. We hope these tools will help you in your efforts to encourage staff and customers to consider being vaccinated.
