Welcome to APD's Training page. APD is committed to providing a pleasant and rewarding TRAIN Florida learning experience. We are currently updating our web pages and anticipate a July 1, 2021 completion date. When completed APD will implement a cohesive APD training network, where the providers, the regional offices and central office work as training partners.
WSC Training APD is pleased to announce that, effective June 1, the Waiver Support Coordinator (WSC) Pre-Service Level 1 Training courses is available on the TRAIN Florida Learning Management System.
Curriculum Requirements for the WSC Level 1 Training. Level 1 includes 14 self-paced online training that provides foundational concepts and requirements related to Waiver Support Coordination. You will be required complete the open-book WSC Pre-Service Level 1 Competency-Based Assessment with a passing score of 85. There is no training certificate for the Level 1 Training. Effective July 1, 2021, New WSC’s are required to complete the Level 2 course and the Mentorship training plan in TRAIN Florida. |
APD Trainings The APD required courses for FY21-22, will be available on August 6, 2021. All APD required courses registration for FY20-21 must be completed by midnight on August 5, 2021. APD Required Courses APD - Direct Care Core Competencies To receive the WSC certification, all WSCs must comply with the APD Basic Required Trainings by completing: 1). Direct Care Core Competency (once), 2). Zero Tolerance (every three-years), and 3). APD HIPAA training (annually). WSC Mentorship Program Per 65G-14.0043 (1), F.A.C., Mentoring is required for any person or Support Coordinator who has less than 12 month’s experience working as a Support Coordinator as of July 1,2021.
