What is a Resident Advocate?

  • A Resident Advocate serves as an advocate for residents concerning their quality of life, treatment, and legal rights. The Resident Advocate ensures issues surfaced are addressed promptly and advocates to improve services to the residents and increase resident satisfaction with services at DDDP and Pathways.

How to File a Grievance

  • Residents at DDDP and Pathways have the right to file a complaint (grievance). The Resident Advocate can assist you filing a grievance. This grievance could apply to somethingoccurring on the ward or anywhere at DDDP or Pathways. A grievance can be filed if you have not been able to resolve a problem with the help of your Personal Advocate or other direct care staff.
