The Agency for Health Care Administration is the chief health policy and planning entity for the state. The Agency is responsible for health facilities licensure, inspection, and regulatory enforcement. The Agency is also responsible for investigating consumer complaints related to health care facilities and managed care plans.

Disability Rights Florida was founded in 1977 as the statewide designated protection and advocacy system for individuals with disabilities in the State of Florida. Disability Rights Florida is a not-for-profit corporation that has authority and responsibility under eight federal grants. Services are free and confidential.
